RE: UPDATE - Kia Access to Tesla Superchargers & Distribution of North American Charging Standard (NACS) Adapters

Kia America, Inc. (KUS) will offer North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapters for certain Kia EV vehicles. This letter will provide updated information regarding Tesla network access and our distribution plan for the NACS adapters, and now includes 100% fulfillment via direct shipments to eligible customers.

1. COMPLIMENTARY ADAPTERS: Beginning in late Q1 2025, customers who have taken delivery of a new 24/25MY EV9 or a new 24MY EV6 on or after September 4, 2024, will receive notification that they may request their complimentary adapter through an order portal. The request and shipment process will work as follows:
   1. Eligible customers will receive a notification via the Kia Access app and notification in the Kia Owner’s Portal with a link to order and an order code.
   2. Eligible customers will need to enter their VIN, order code, and shipping information in the portal.
   3. An email will notify these eligible customers when their complimentary adapter ships directly from the vendor.
2. RETAIL ADAPTERS: We also expect that, beginning sometime in late Q1 2025, NACS adapters will be available for retail sale to Kia customers with compatible Kia EVs through Roseville Kia’s parts department. (Note: the Kia NACS adapter is not compatible with 2015-2019 Soul EVs.)

Lastly, we expect that customers with compatible Kia EVs will have access to NACS chargers (including the Tesla Supercharger Network) in late Q1 2025, with an OEM NACS adapter. IMPORTANT: Before using the Kia NACS Adapter, customers are to fully read the NACS Adapter User Guide that will be provided and follow all instructions warnings. The Kia NACS Adapter has been developed and tested for use with Kia EV vehicles only and may not be compatible with other brand EVs.
